DONA International’s impressive growth
Our membership has grown from 750 members in 1994 to more than 6,000 members from around the world today. The word is out that doulas greatly benefit mothers and families during labor, birth and the weeks that follow. This rising demand for doulas, combined with the growing interest in the profession, means that this membership growth will continue for years to come.
