DONA International's 2012 Conference promises to be the best ever as we celebrate the 20th Birthday of our organization.

Conference and Workshop Fees

Early registration fees must be postmarked or confirmed online by 5:00 p.m. EST on
May 15, 2012. Conference and workshop fees have been adapted to country of origin.

Conference Registration Includes

  • The special pre-conference Welcome Reception on Thursday, July 19, 2012
  • The core conference beginning the evening of Thursday, July 19, and ending Sunday, July 22, 2012, which includes six (6) general sessions and your four (4) choices from twenty (20) concurrent sessions
  • Admission to the Exhibit Hall
  • Access to session handouts on the DONA International web site prior to the conference as well as a program book with a CD of all handouts and materials for each session received at the conference
  • A light breakfast on Friday and Saturday, lunch on Friday only, refreshment breaks on Friday and Saturday and a full breakfast on Sunday.

Cancellations and Refund Requests

All refund requests must be submitted in writing, postmarked by June 22, 2012, to the DONA International Home Office, 2851 South Parker Road, Suite 560, Aurora, CO 80014. A non-refundable processing fee of $100 (US funds) will be retained in all cases for each conference fee refund request. After June 22, 2012, you may transfer your registration to a substitute, but you must notify the DONA International Home Office by calling 888.788.DONA (3662) or emailing Registrar@DONA.org.

Continuing Education

The core conference qualifies as formal continuing education for doula recertification and trainer reapproval with DONA International. International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA), Lamaze International, and most other childbirth certification organizations accept DONA International contact hours for continuing education. However, it is the individual registrant's responsibility to ascertain whether this offering meets the requirements of her/his certifying organization. The registrant must attend a session in its entirety to receive continuing education credit for that session.

Breastfeeding Babies

Breastfeeding babies up to six (6) months of age (in arms or slings only, no strollers) who remain quiet may accompany a conference registrant at sessions, at meals and in the Exhibit Hall. A comfortable breastfeeding room will also be available for nursing mothers.

Special Dietary Needs

For vegetarian or kosher meal options, check the space on the registration form. Other special dietary needs may be accommodated if neither administratively nor financially burdensome. Email Registrar@DONA.org prior to June 22, 2012 with "Menu" in the subject line.

Spanish Translations

For our Spanish speaking attendees, all general sessions and concurrent sessions 104, 202, 305 and 401 will be translated into Spanish. Please indicate that you will require translations on the registration form and also be sure to list these concurrent sessions as your first choices when you register.

Volunteers Invited

Help make this conference a success – indicate your interest in volunteering on the Registration Form. Volunteers will not miss meals or sessions.

Exhibits and Silent Auction

Be sure to visit the Exhibit Hall often to take advantage of the products and services being offered. Place your bids for Silent Auction items. Proceeds provide full conference early registration fee waivers to qualified applicants through the Doula Spirit Fund.

Recordings

Video or audio recording of any session is strictly prohibited. Professional recordings of individual sessions and the full conference will be available for sale onsite after the conference. Your attendance at this conference indicates your willingness to be photographed, filmed or recorded.

Change in Program

DONA International reserves the right to substitute or cancel speakers and/or sessions.

Share a Room

DONA International compiles a "Share a Room" list. By indicating that you want to be included on this list during the registration process, you are indicating that you want the list distributed to you and other conference registrants upon their request for the same purpose. You also agree that you release DONA International from any and all responsibility and from any harm intended or unintended as a result of this "Share a Room" list containing your name, state/province, country, phone, and email address.
