Directions for accessing and registering for the Breastfeeding Basics Online independent study program:

· Address: www.breastfeedingbasics.org (The DONA website directly links you to it.)

· Click on register (top bar)

· Pick a logon and password

· Answer the 7 anonymous demographic questions

· Make sure to “Click here to Register” to officially register for the course

· Print out your ID and Password, so you do not forget it!

· Under: “Are you doing this as part of a required course?” type DONA Birth Doula Certification. Then, click “Find”.

· Click on DONA Birth Doula Certification to verify the course title and enter your name and phone number. Click “Register” when you are finished. You will have 365 days to complete the course from the day you register. You must obtain a score of at least a 75% on each module. (See below.)

· When you have completed everything, return to home page (top bar).

· Click on the modules on the left bar to start completing the online course. Make sure to print out each of the post-test scores to include in your application packet when you submit it for certification.

*If you do not wish to register for this study program, you will need to make sure that you print out your pre-tests, as well as your post-tests to include them in your application packet. If you do not obtain a score of at least 75% on each module, please re-take that module before sending in your score results with your application for certification.
