  • Affiliate yourself with the premier doula organization supporting the health of birthing and postpartum families worldwide.
  • Become a highly informed and respected doula through evidence-based training, certification and recertification.
  • Align yourself with DONA International's standards of practice and code of ethics recommended by health professionals since our founding in 1992.
  • Grow your doula practice through DONA International's global marketing efforts and referral system.

  • Be listed in our online Referral Directory. Once you are a certified DONA International doula, your name and phone number may be made available to expectant parents looking for a birth and/or postpartum doula through a listing in the DONA International Referral Directory. Until you are certified, your name may be provided to parents who email a request for names of uncertified doulas in their area. DONA International has the most extensive and thorough referral system of any other labor and birthing family support organization, making it easy for expectant families and birth professionals to find you.
