A minimum of five members must join DONA International as a group. The group membership fee is $55 per year plus $25 per individual member in the US and $30 per individual member outside the US. Additional members may join the group during the membership year with the same expiration date. An additional processing fee of $5 per incoming additional member must be added to their individual fee.

 

PLEASE SUBMIT ONE CHECK PER GROUP, COVERING THE GROUP FEE AND INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS’ FEES, ALONG WITH A COMPLETE LIST OF GROUP MEMBERS (NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, EMAIL ADDRESS, BIRTH OR POSTPARTUM DOULA AND CERTIFICATION STATUS). GROUPS WITH UP TO 15 MEMBERS MAY JOIN ONLINE IN THE DOULA BOUTIQUE AND PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD.

 

The group member benefits are the same as individual member benefits. All members joining with a group will have the same group expiration date. If someone already has a membership with DONA International and then renews her/his membership through a group membership, s/he will assume the group expiration date even if it means less than a one-year renewal.

 

It is important to note that a requirement of DONA International certification is to maintain current membership. If a certified doula whose membership has lapsed is joining through a group membership, s/he will be required to follow the policy for lapsed membership. 

 

DONA approved doula trainers are required to hold individual memberships.
