This past weekend was the second annual March for Moms event and DONA International was proud to be a sponsor and partner in the weekend’s happenings. This important gathering of leaders in the field of maternal-infant health was making a big, bold statement to the public and to the legislators who dictate funding and programs that affect maternal morbidity and mortality. Things must change and the time is now. I asked some of the DONA International leadership and members to share their thoughts on attending this impactful event. Honestly, I could tell from their comments and images that they were proud to be a member of DONA International and welcomed by other maternal health leaders as an important equal and part of the solution for parents and babies in the USA.
