Board Elections

Below are the candidates for the 2019 Board of Directors election.

Voting will be available for current DONA International members via secure email ballot starting on September 18, 2018. Secure voting will remain open until October 2, 2018, 11:59pm PT.

The Board of Directors meets regularly to make decisions on behalf of the organization and set the strategic goals and direction of the organization.  Terms cycle on January first, each year.

President Elect

The president elect is a one year term, which leads into one year as president, followed by a final year as past president. The DONA International Presidential positions provide leadership and guidance to the Board of Directors and help carry out strategic plans. Download position description here.

Director of Membership (Western)

The Membership Director position is a three-year term in which the elected director will provide leadership to our regional directors, ambassadors, and members. Download position description here.

Director of Certification

Candidate- Director of Certification

The elected certification director will oversee and lead the certification committee in review and approval of applicants for DONA International certification.  The certification director also oversees certification guidelines and policies and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors for updates and changes, it is a three-year term. Director of Advocacy

The Director of Advocacy is a three-year term and elected director will oversee and lead DONA Internationals advocacy efforts and six sub-committees. Download position description here.

Serving on the Board of Directors is an excellent opportunity to utilize your leadership skills for this large non-profit membership organization. In addition, serving the DONA International membership, it’s also an opportunity to join fellow DONA doulas and build relationships within the organization.
