A note from Royah…
My name is Royah and I’m the Ontario SPAR for DONA International. I first became inspired to become a doula after the birth of my daughter. Realizing the importance of trained labour support and how significantly it can help women during childbirth, I began my journey to becoming a birth doula. I wanted to be able to help women achieve a safe and satisfying birth experience on their own terms. I would be honored to be the Eastern Canada Regional Director for DONA International as I think it’s a great organization that genuinely cares about informing and educating both doulas and families about the latest information regarding childbirth, prenatal and postpartum support. As the Eastern Canada Regional Director, I would be committed to helping DONA International continue its mission in providing doulas with the information and support they need to further advance in their work helping women and families in their communities. I would do this by not only assisting new doulas in finding the resources they need, but also by providing relevant and up-to-date information on the latest events and professional development opportunities for all doulas. If you have any further questions or would like to get in touch with me personally, feel free to send me an email at:
