Erica Lane, CD(DONA)

President-Elect

Erica Lane CD(DONA) is a Certified Birth Doula, Bereavement Doula, Childbirth Educator, serves on the Certification Committee, and Doula mentor in her community. Residing in Ohio, Erica is involved in many organizations and groups uniting to make a change in the birthing space. 

Erica is someone who loves bringing people together and loves learning about different cultures. Although grounded in her roots, Erica has the love and heart to understand others, the desire to bridge the gap, and appreciates the way other cultures “do life.”

Erica has spent numerous years in the corporate space working with leaderships of all levels and has held many titles within corporate; however, the love of birth and being able to fulfill that passion has always been a dream. 

Erica loves to give back and help serve her community and has assisted many families during their birth and postpartum journeys.

Erica is heavily involved in the community and has served as a board member with Queens Village Columbus, Celebrate One, and has helped mentor new doulas along their journey. Erica has also worked to improve support within hospital settings, worked with policy makers to ensure voices are heard to make effective change in the birthing space.

Erica owns her own business and actively assists families during their pregnancy journey. 

Erica is eager to help create a vision for DONA and see this organization soar to higher heights. Erica’s drive, determination, passion, willingness to listen, grow, and desire to strive for the best are some of the attributes that make her who she is today. 

Erica is able, and willing to continue to serve.

Aside from being a doula, Erica has two teenage daughters who love volleyball, and shopping! 

Erica is looking forward to the next three years of leadership, and excited for what’s to come.
