HeatherGail Lovejoy is the first president of DONA International who is exclusively a postpartum doula. She loves her role on the board of directors and her work serving families in the Silicon Valley area of California. HeatherGail began her career as a postpartum doula in 2004, and in 2014 she became a DONA-approved postpartum doula trainer. She is mother to one amazing adult daughter and loves time with her family, friends and sweep pup Leah along the California coast. The ocean is her happy place! In her home community, she’s actively involved with her local organizations Blossom Birth and BABI (Bay Area Birth Information). HeatherGail has served in a variety of roles on the DONA International board of directors, including six years as the Western Pacific Regional Director.
