Director of Advocacy
Sarah was certified as a doula through DONA International in 2013 after witnessing her first birth in a mud hut in Uganda. She earned her Masters in Public Health from the Harvard Chan School of Public Health and has extensive experience in maternal health research and communications. Sarah currently works at Steward Health Care Network managing women’s health services. In her role as DONA International’s Director of Advocacy, Sarah coordinates five sub-committees focused on addressing health disparities, insurance payment, legislative action, research and data collection, and doula profession promotion and credibility.
